Meta Quest

A family of head-mounted virtual reality systems from Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook). Meta Quest devices are standalone 3D glasses and consoles where people explore, socialize, and play games in real or imaginary worlds (see Social virtual reality). See Avatar and virtual reality. Created in 2012 by Palmer Luckey and called Oculus, its highly successful Kickstarter campaign raised 10 times its original goal of $250,000. Two years later, Facebook acquired Oculus VR, keeping its brand for eight years. After Facebook's rebranding, Oculus became a Meta product (see Meta Platforms).
